As you heard in the tape recording, TLC claimed they were trying to get me lined up with Dr. Machat to see if he could help me with my eyes. The fact is Dr. Machat never reviewed my records until almost two years after Dr. Boes screwed up my eyes and approximately one year after the recorded message! Wouldn't you think that with a Lifetime Commitment and seeing how I was unable to work with my eyes the way they were that they could have done something sooner? Or does a "Lifetime Commitment" mean that they will stand behind their work but it may take a "Lifetime" before they do?

Dr. Machat also testified for Steve Post (United Airplane Pilot) as his expert witness, Steve won $4.3 Million. Dr. Machat caught so much flack from his colleagues that he went back and claimed he made a  big mistake in his testimony. He now claims moderate myopia doesn't start until -6 D, He testified to moderate myopia starting at -3 D, Steve's eyes were -5 D now claiming that Steve was a good candidate!
My question to you Dr. Machat is this; you cost United Physicians Inc. insurance company $4.3 million dollars by your testimony, one of your very own doctors (Dr. Boes) made the same mistake as the United Physicians doctor. My case was exactly the same as Steve Post, large pupils, same VISX Star S2 Laser (3.1 software), same 6.5 mm VISX setting but I ended up with an effective optical zone of only 5 mm (smaller than Steve's) and I was a -10 D myopia which even made me a lot worse candidate than Steve. Why would you allow your doctors to treat me the way they did and then try to cover up what they did? Why is this doctor still working for you? You heard the tape, is this the proper way to treat patients after you mess up their eyes? Why did I have to hire an attorney to get help? Why wasn't your employees truthful to me?
